The New Wireless Home Theater Standard for High Fidelity and Easy Installation

Focus Enhancements, Inc., a leading supplier of wireless audio technologies, partners with Hansong, a leading Chinese original equipment and design manufacturer for audio platforms and technologies, to bring products to market using Summit Wireless™ technology. Summit Wireless is an integrated circuit that allows home audio systems to deliver high-resolution, distortion-free audio with ease, using the recently opened 5GHz UNII band spectrum. The technology can be integrated into a variety of audio platforms including loudspeakers, audio video receivers, DVD players, digital televisions, game platforms (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii), MP3 players, docking stations, sound bars, set top boxes and wireless audio hubs. Hansong will deliver an analog and HDMI version of Summit enabled advanced wireless audio hubs for connectivity to legacy analog and HDMI based A/V equipment. Both products will be available for sampling in the first quarter of 2010, allowing loudspeaker brands to sell their loudspeakers as a complete bundled Summit audio solution. Key features include support for Dolby and DTS digital decoding up to 7.1 channels, on screen display for easy navigation and connectivity to popular DVD, game platforms and MP3 players. The wireless hub will support SpeakerFinder™ and a remote control for MyZone™ which features automatic discovery of loudspeakers, channel assignment, 3D Audio Speaker Mapping™ to within one inch, sweet spot configuration, instant volume and time alignment and scalability from 2.0 to 7.1 making it the technology of choice for high-end home theater audio. “Hansong is a well respected electronic equipment manufacturer of loudspeaker brands and we are pleased that they are offering Summit Wireless enabled audio hubs,” said Tony Parker, Vice President of Marketing for Focus Enhancements. “Consumers will now be able to purchase Summit enabled loudspeakers and easily connect to existing A/V equipment.
