Line source speakers such as the Lyngdorf LS-1000 are usually found in larger home cinemas, where their linear sound radiation is ideal for long rooms with many rows or elevated seats. But their special sound radiation characteristic also becomes an advantage in large, high, spacious living rooms or in interiors with less furniture. These rooms typically sound bright and suffer from plenty of sound reflections. Line source speakers beam sound into the room very evenly, directing less sound energy towards the ceiling and floor. This leads to better sound focus and a more even tonality around the main listening seats.

Furthermore, a line source achieves a very consistent volume level across the room. Even when standing up or walking around, the sound experience from a line source speaker remains very much the same. Consequently, the LS-1000 is now also available in the speaker presets of the TDAI-1120 and TDAI-3400, so that stereo setups with or without boundary woofers can be created.
