Trinnov Audio Amplitude16 Power Amplifier

The Trinnov Audio Amplitude16 amplifier produces 200 watts into 8 ohms and 400 watts into 4 ohms.

Providing professional integrators with a single-chassis amplifier that’s capable of offering 16-channels of power for immersive audio, Trinnov Audio has announced its Amplitude16 amplifier.

Trinnov Audio states that its new amplifier is designed with custom installation in mind, and it provides integrators with a versatile amplifier solution that provides high power levels and efficient operation. The French audio manufacturer says the Amplitude16 is effectively a pair of 8-channel amplifiers built into a 3U-high chassis.

Internally, the Class D-based, 16-channel Amplitude16 incorporates dual power supplies that require individual 15-amp AC mains, and Trinnov points out that through this design, the base-model amplifier is capable of producing 200 watts into 8 ohms and 400 watts into 4 ohms.

Trinnov Audio explains the amp provides integrators options to bridge pairs of channels to increase power to specific outputs, and when pairing amplifier channels, the Amplitude16 produces 800 watts into 8 ohms and 1,000 watts into 4 ohms.

Other features built into the amplifier include an optional Dante input board to facilitate its connection to the company’s Altitude processors via a network switch. The amp’s Dante digital audio options also allows integrators to monitor the amp’s hardware status.

As a side note, Trinnov Audio says that shortly it will add Ravenna/AES67 functions to its Altitude processors for more setup and installation capabilities.
