Artnovion Announces Lagos And Aries Diffusers

Origin Acoustics, U.S. distributor for Artnovion, the premier acoustic treatment products company, announces new evolutions for the home and pro audio markets with its Lagosand AriesDiffusers. 

The Lagos Diffuser is the result of extensive research into diffusion techniques – it is based on a traditional QRD diffuser, but combine varying widths with each cell depth, overcoming some of the limitations of the standard QRD diffuser. 

The phase grating surface of the diffuser is designed to provide a more uniform sound field through mid-high frequency diffusion. The well depths are individually tuned to enhance performance at certain frequencies, essentially increasing the effective range of the panel, without compromising the overall linear response – Lagos performs 15-20% lower with a linear frequency response

The panels’ semi-cylindrical response pattern makes it the perfect solution for multi-channel rooms and can easily be installed in specific arrays to provide 2D diffusion. Lagos is available in both wood and fabric finishes, making it a versatile solution to match your performance and design requirements.

The Aires Diffuseris the latest addition to the Pro Audio market.  Aires Diffuser was designed using various diffusion techniques – inspired from traditional numeric sequence diffusers, it is composed of asymmetrical multi-depth wells, in which specific wells use a folded-depth technique to boost the mid-low diffusion range of the panel.

Whilst the panel itself is only 60mm thick, the extended wells on the diffuser are designed to be effective at 160 Hz and 400 Hz, with a linear diffusion pattern from 700Hz upwards – providing Aires diffuser an unheard-of diffusion capacity for its size.

The asymmetric wells are arranged in an optimized sequence to prevent lobbing when used in larger arrays – in this, in combination with the extended low-range diffusion, make Aires go lower and outperform any other diffuser in its class – a truly unique approach to diffusion techniques, and a clear advance in performance over the traditional QRD design.
