WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Grace Of My Heart is the acclaimed story of songwriting sensation Denise Waverly (Douglas), whose personal and professional struggles during the male-dominated world of pop music inspire her to write affecting songs filled with rich melodies that sustain a music empire.
LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.85:1, looks natural with excellent color fidelity, accurate fleshtones, warm and vibrant colors and deep solid blacks. Generally sharp and detailed, shadow detail is excellent. There is slight noise found in dark scenes, but no artifacts.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The music score is the outstanding element in this soundtrack full of inconsistencies. The nicely recorded orchestral and vocal score presents a spacious soundstage with both subtle and aggressive enveloping surrounds. Ambiant sound effects are presented in stereo, but the sound character is wanting in naturalness. Dialogue generally has good spatial integration, but sounds slightly uneven.
