WSR Narrative Review |
|
Story Synopsis:
United States Marshal John Kruger (Schwarzenegger) operates in secrecy by necessity and anonymity by design. Executive Lee Cullen (Williams) saw something she wasn’t meant to see and now some of the most powerful forces in the world want her dead before she can testify. To survive, Cullen needs a protector. She needs “Eraser.” As Kruger himself falls under suspicion as a traitor, he sets out to prove his innocence to his mentor (Caan) and the head of the Witness Protection Program (Coburn).
LaserDisc Picture:
Framed at 2.40:1, the picture quality is exemplary in all aspects with naturally rich and warm colors and terrific cinematography.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
By far, one of the best soundtracks to date, the sound is fantastic with an extremely dynamic music score, directional sound effects and aggressive surround envelopment. The orchestra recording is expansive with excellent imaging and depth. Bass impact is powerful and extends below 25Hz, even in the surrounds. Foley effects are precise and effective. Naturally spatial and well recorded, the dialogue is near perfect.
