WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Bullock stars as Angela Bennett, a top analyst and well paid computer freelancer who is happy with her sheltered, somewhat lonely routine. After Angela conducts a preliminary analysis of a puzzling “beta” prototype of a new internet program that strangely allows user access to Federal top secret databases; she becomes a target when her keys, passport, and all identification papers are stolen. Angela learns that someone has altered every record of her life, and they have given her a suspicious new name, identity and a falsified police record.
LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture is sharp and detailed, but fleshtones are inconsistent. Colors are vivid, but fidelity is poor. The picture exhibits virtually no artifacts, but slight noise is apparent throughout.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack fidelity is veiled, with poor dialogue character. The music score is dynamic, and provides deep bass extension and subtle surround envelopment.
