WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The Nutty Professor is the larger than life comedy based on the movie written by Jerry Lewis and Bill Richmond. When 400 pound Professor Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy) takes dieting matters into his own hands by inventing a revolutionary fat gene formula, the painfully shy professor turns into a sweet-talkin’, testosterone-driven ladies’ man—until he discovers that his long-lasting diet aid can wear off at any time.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture quality is superb in all aspects. Only the slightest noise is apparent in some scenes.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
This DTS® Digital Surround soundtrack has improved presence and fidelity over the PCM. The music score on the DTS version has a wider soundstage with improved imaging, making the matrix seem slightly muffled. Surround envelopment is subtle and limited to mono.
