WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Wayne stars as a tough rancher who has to resort to using 11 greenhorn schoolboys on a 400-mile cattle drive when his regular help up and quit him. Naturally Wayne makes the best of it, bullying the boys into becoming men. As was his wont.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 2.35:1 picture is excessively bright in several scenes and lacks contrast. Color appears washed out although fleshtones are naturally rendered.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is essentially mono (no directionalized dialogue and effects) but this edition has the original stereo Overture, EntrŽActe and Exit Music of John Williams’ marvelous score. The soundstage is expansive and the music well recorded.
