WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Indochine, the Best Foreign language Academy AwardŽ winner stars Catherine Deneuve who received a nomination for her performance as Eliane Devries, the prosperous owner of a rubber plantation in Indochina in the period 1930 to 1940. She hides her personal life of torrid love affairs and drugs from the upper crust society in which she lives.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture is very natural looking and softly focused with no glaring artifacts. Contrast is good and the colors are rich in beauty.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is credited in stereo but it is a misrepresentation as it is mono.
