WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Gripping drama with another tour de force performance by Jeff Bridges. Here he plays an airplane passenger who miraculously survices a crash (along with a handfull of other passengers)., Now “gifted” and unafraid of death, he takes a variety of dangerous physical risks, causing his marriage to become tenuous. He is finally transformed into a whole being when he’s asked to help another passenger (Perez), who lost her baby in the crash.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture is matted at 1.85:1. It is finely detailed, especially on closeups. Overall, the picture looks very pleasing with no noticeable artifacts. Flesh tones are accurate with excellent color balance throughout.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack develops some exciting sound effects and in several scenes the surround envelopment is aggressive, Otherwise this is a disappointingly conventional mix with mostly mono produced scenes.
