The majesty of the Montana wilderness and the strength of an American family has been beautifully captured in this deep emotional portrait of the West, which won the Oscar® for Best Cinematography. Craig Sheffer and Brad Pitt shine as the grown Maclean brothers raised by a stern, but loving Reverend father (Skerrit) and a soft-spoken, understanding mother (Blethyn).
