WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Based on the FernGully children stories by Diana Young, this animated extravaganza is a modest feature which tells an ecological tale of man’s systematic destruction of nature. The story celebrates all of life on Earth and underscores the fact that every living thing is intemately connected to every other, whether plant, person or animal.

LaserDisc Picture:
The boldly colored cells are pristine on this digital video transfer at 1.60:1. The CAV format reveals the cartoonish, undetailed animation which otherwise is obscured by wide strokes and swift panning.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack features numerous well recorded songs and an excellent Dolby Surround® mix.
