WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
A Walter Hill (48 Hours) heavy caliber action-thriller about two suburban firemen buddies, Paxton and Sadler, who clash with city hoods, Ice T and Ice Cube, defending their turf, and a fortune in hidden gold. Witnesses to a drug-related murder, the two firemen find themselves trapped in an urban nightmare, hunted by the vicious armed gang.

LaserDisc Picture:
The transfer is matted to 1.90:1. The picture quality is generally excellent with flesh tones a bit on the reddish side and some grain. There are no video noise artifacts present except and everything looks pretty natural.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
There is an excellent soundtrack with deep, extended bass and well recorded Foley sound effects. The aggressive surrounds envelop effectively to heighten the sense of dangerous confrontation with the killer gang.
