WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
This is director John Landis’ high concept vampire movie in which beautiful, seductive Anne Parillaud (“La Femme Nikita”) plays a lonely, world-weary soul, hundreds of years old, who turns to a diet of bad guys out of an aversion to spilling innocent blood. Unfortunately, her latest victim escapes before he’s totally dead, and she has to now track down a vampire mobster. Tongue-in-cheek, so to speak.

LaserDisc Picture:
The transfer is matted to 1.95:1. The picture quality is excellent with accurate fleshtones and black level. There is not a trace of noise or other artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound is well recorded particularly the music score which features some classic Sinatra tracks. The Dolby Surround® is aggressive and the special sound effects are effectively spacious and dynamic.
