By looking at Bobby (Wahlberg), Angel (Gibson), Jeremiah (Benjamin), and Jack (Hedlund), you would never guess they are Four Brothers. Being the worst in the foster care system, they were deemed unplaceable until county worker Evelyn Mercer (Flanagan) adopted them as her own. Now, many years later, her murder brings them back to Detroit where they seek the truth and exact revenge. (Jack Kelley)

Special features include audio commentary by Director John Singleton; five featurettes: a ten-minute behind-the-scenes The Look Of Four Brothers, an 11-minute look at the four main characters, nine minutes with the mixed-race brothers, and the four-minute shootout at the Mercer house; nine deleted scenes; the theatrical trailer; and previews.

The 2.32:1 VC-1-encoded HD DVD picture looks quite good, with impressive contrast and natural flesh tones. Shadow delineation can be somewhat lacking. Colors are well saturated, and the imagery generally looks very natural. (Danny Richelieu)

Both the Dolby® Digital Plus and DTS® Digital Surround™ encodings are without much surround envelopment. Fidelity is very good in both encodings, although the DTS track can sound a little more "digital." The noise floor is impressively low. (Danny Richelieu)
