Waterworld is an explosive high seas action adventure depicting mankind's future plight to survive the aftermath of a water-covered Earth. Costner stars as the Mariner, a mysterious mutant drifter with webbed feet and gills, allied with Enola (Majorino), a young girl with a mysterious map tattooed on her back, and her adoptive mother, Helen (Tripplehorn). Soon the Mariner is forced into a war to save Enola from the evil Deacon (Hopper) who is out for the map tattoo that leads to the mythical "Dryland."
