Academy Award® nominee Gary Oldman, Christian Slater, and Dane Cook headline this outrageous action comedy about greed, revenge, and a desert full of dead Elvis impersonators. A priceless Apache war mask has been stolen from an Indian casino, causing criminals, frat boys, tomahawk-wielding hit men, modern-day cowboys, and a six-foot-tall blonde assassin to rampage through a small town in hopes of claiming the treasure first. Guns, Girl's and Gambling is an action-packed comedy where the laughs pile up faster than the body count. (Tricia Spears)

The 1.85:1 1080p VC-1 picture, digitally photographed, is vividly colored with strong primaries and inky blacks. Hues are richly rendered with healthy natural fleshtones pretty much throughout. Contrast is effectively executed and consistent, with deep blacks and revealing shadow delineation. Resolution is excellent, with fine detail revealed in facial features, hair, clothing, and object texture. This is a sharp and clear visual experience that is often striking and engaging. The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is a fun sonic experience, with a wonderfully recorded, twangy electric guitar music score, heightened gunfire sound effects, and deep, sub-25 Hz bass that never sounds unnatural. Dialogue is surprisingly well recorded and spatially integrated during most scenes. While frontal focused, the music score is nicely immersive, and sound effects provide surround action. The dialogue segments tend to be lengthy, but when the soundfield fires up, especially the guitar interludes, the sonics are effectively energized and engaging. (Gary Reber)
