And now, a word from Gonzo (Goelz): Greetings, holiday movie fans and lovers of culture, I am Gonzo...or perhaps better known to fans of this classic motion picture as literary legend Charles Dickens. Are you ready to laugh, cry, sing, frolic, cavort, and enjoy yourself beyond belief? Well, you're in luck, because this 20th Anniversary Edition of Disney's "The Muppet Christmas Carol" is guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit that will stay with you forever—or at least until your Aunt Edna starts complaining that nobody is eating the fruitcake she brought...again! (Tricia Spears)

The 1080p AVC picture is beautifully rendered with a warm and rich color palette. Hues are vibrant and perfectly natural in appearance. Fleshtones are spot on. Contrast is superb with deep, solid black and revealing shadow delineation. Resolution is excellent, with fine detail revealed in The Muppet clothing and textures, as well as the human element with facial detail, hair, and clothing nicely rendered. Object texture is also vividly detailed. This Christmas classic, while 20 years old, looks especially colorful and joyous. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack, while frontal focused, projects an immersive soundfield presence during song segments. The surround presence is heightened during the darker dramatic moments, such as the ghost of Christmas to come. Deep bass is accentuated during such scenes to sub-25 Hz frequencies and energized the entire soundfield with intensity. The music is nicely recorded with instrument timbre impressively captured. Dialogue generally is nicely integrated spatially. This is a charming and enjoyable soundtrack experience that will delight. (Gary Reber)
