When the wife and kid are away...the husband will play. At least that's what happens in The Seven Year Itch when Richard Sherman (Ewell) faces a long, hot summer alone in his Manhattan apartment. Especially when he gets an eyefull of the blonde upstairs (Monroe, of course). Donning her most famous dress (the one worn in the scene with the escaping air from the subway grating), Marilyn tempts and teases her way through this, for its time, controversial story of marital infidelity based on George Axlerod's play. (Laurie Sevano)
