"Don McKay" (Church) is a janitor haunted by the memories of a terrible mistake he made when he was a teenager. Suddenly, after 25 years of self-imposed exile, he hears from Sonny (Shue), his ex-girlfriend and still the love of his life. She is dying and wants to spend her final days with him. Although it means returning to the site of the tragedy, Don rushes to her side. He finds her as desirable as ever...yet different. Is it only the sickness that has changed her? Or is it the strange pall that looms over the town? (Gary Reber)
