In "Horrible Bosses," management candidate Nick Hendricks (Bateman) has been slaving away under the tyranny of his twisted supervisor Dave Harken (Spacey), only to find out there is no promotion in sight. Meanwhile, dental assistant Dale Arbus (Day) has been struggling to resist the overt advances of his sexpot boss, Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S. (Aniston), and accountant Kurt Buckman (Sudeikis) has just learned that his company's depraved new owner, Bobby Pellit (Farrell), is bent on environmental destruction. Trying to save their jobs and their sanity, the three friends hatch a plan to off their bosses. (Gary Reber)

Special features include three featurettes: "My Least Favorite Career" (HD 05:01), "Surviving A Horrible Boss" (HD 06:29), and "Being Mean Is So Much Fun" (HD 07:07), and the making of the soundtrack (HD 06:22); deleted scenes (HD 10:22); up-font previews; and BD-Live functionality.

The 1080p AVC picture exhibits a color palette that is nicely saturated but with inconsistent fleshtone accuracy. Contrast is well balanced with deep blacks and revealing shadow delineation. Resolution is uneven, with some segments exhibiting fine detail and others softly focused. Overall this is a vibrant picture but resolution is wanting. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is conventional with a frontal stereo presence, except for the enhanced surround envelopment during music passages. Fidelity is generally good, with convincing dialogue spatial integration. Even during the few action sequences the surrounds are basically reserved. Bass sounds natural, with some support provided by the .1 LFE channel. Overall, this is a mediocre soundtrack experience that is serviceable in support of the storytelling. (Gary Reber)
