    The 1080p MVC 3-D imagery is often striking and nearly always pleasing and soothing. Of course, the main attraction for the guys will be the beautiful women models shot against Maui's water edges. Everything appears natural, with expanses of ocean vistas, sandy beaches, and waterfalls. Depth and dimension are often spectacular and effectively convey the sense of being there sans the salt water aromas and sea breezes. The models look quite dimensional, with natural volumetric shaping, as does the immediate background, often of dense wooded cropping and rocks. Crosstalk ghosting is virtually absent. Resolution is generally good, though, at times softly focused. The color palette is naturally hued throughout, with strongly saturated tones. Overall, this is a pleasant 3-D viewing experience showcasing beautiful women and beautiful serene scenery. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is generally undistinguished, though, the music score is prevalent throughout, extending into the surrounds. Dialogue sounds ADR, forward, and wanting in spatial integration. Deep bass is found in the .1 LFE channel that is, at times, aggressively energized. Overall, the sonics are adequate for the presentation of the visual material. (Gary Reber)

    I'm a fairly avid home theatre enthusiast and like to keep up on all of the most recent development and progress relating to A/V equipment and digital media. Of all of the publications related to this topic, WSR is the most complete, most thorough, and has become the champion of enthusiasts, such as myself, in fighting for the best possible presentation of audio and video in consumer electronics and broadcast media. In addition to the very informative columns, I am very appreciative of WSR's equipment reviews and its commitment to providing a relatively honest opinion of each product. It's refreshing to see a review that does not conclude with: If you like red LED displays, don't mind just slightly bright and forward sounding gear, and absolutely have to have to have your equipment in a gold-tone color, you should go to your nearest XYZ dealer and give an audition. It’s reviews like this that leave me mystified as to why people even bother reading these other publications. I hope that WSR continues its excellent work.
