In "Nobody 2," Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch, an overworked assassin who just needs a break, in this bareknuckle action-thriller. After deciding to take his family to a tourist town for some fun in the sun, a minor encounter with local bullies yanks the family into the crosshairs of an unhinged, blood-thirsty crime boss (Sharon Stone), who is determined to derail his relaxation. (Gary Reber)

Special features include eight deleted scenes (HD 08:29), the featurettes "Nobody 2: The Fight Continues" (HD 11:28) and "Nobody Does Stunts LIKE Us" (HD 12:26) and a Movies Anywhere digital copy.

The 2.39:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 Ultra HD HDR10/Dolby Vision picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally in anamorphic Panavision® using the Arri Alexa 35 camera system and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate format. The setting is primarily in the fictional small tourist town Plummerville, in an old amusement park and water park family attraction. Picture quality is excellent, Color fidelity exhibits saturated hues with an overall well illuminated production design. Colors often pop such as the fiery orange hued intense explosions. The darker scenes still are well lit. Flesh tones appear consistently natural. HDR contrast is excellent. Black levels are realistic. Shadows are well defined. White levels are well illuminated with effective spot lighting and at times, brilliant. Resolution is superb with excellent clarity and sharpness throughout. Especially during closeups, fine detail is exhibited in facial features, such as skin pores, beard stubble, beards and hair. This is a visually exiting experience. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is dynamic sounding with intense sound effects such as gunfire, and machine gunfire, and explosions. Atmospherics are realistic. The music is great and snappy, and occupies a forward presence across the soundstage with aggressive extension to the surrounds. Fidelity is excellent. The opening song "The Good Life" by José James sets the feel for this exciting action-packed movie. Stunts are hard hitting with effective Foley sound effects. The action scenes are intense with supportive deep bass transients and powerful .1 LFE energy. Surround energy is aggressive during the action scenes and energizes the four surrounds. Dialogue is intelligible with generally good spatial integration.

The Immersive Sound element is sparse with sporadic atmospherics and sound effects such a short-lived gunfire and explosions toward the end. Far more could have been achieved to enhance spatial dimensionality.

This is a fun holosonic® soundtrack with exciting sound effects and punchy music, all of which is well-crafted. (Gary Reber)
