In "I Know What You Did Last Summer," when five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dynamic, propelled by an energized orchestra score that creates an emotional impact. Atmospherics sound realistic. Sound effects reflect the hook slashing and puncture attacks with sharp transients and supportive bass attack. The 4th of July fireworks deliver realistic booms. Deep bass often excites the sound field with powerful .1 LFE channel excitement. Foley sound effects are active and precise throughout. The orchestra score is dynamic and spans a wide and deep soundstage that aggressively extends to the surrounds. Sonics are often directional. Dialogue is generally well integrated though at times ADR produced and forward sounding when on location. This is a well-crafted holosonic® soundtrack that delivers chills and suspense. (Gary Reber)
