"Ghost Killer" is a supernatural horror tale. When college student Fumika Matsuoka (Akari Takaishi) stumbles upon the bullet that ended hitman Kudo’s (Masanori Mimoto) life, after being possessed by his vengeful spirit, she agrees to help him finish his quest for vengeance from beyond the grave. Now possessed by a ruthless assassin’s rage and skills, she becomes an unstoppable force, hunting down those responsible for his death. As the body count rises, the line between Fumika and Kudo begins to blur. (Gary Reber)

There are no pecial features.

The 2.39:1 1080p picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate format. Picture quality is uneven with just a few segments looking good, while others appear substandard for even a Blu-ray. The scenes that look good exhibit a decent color palette with saturated colors, which at times pop. Flesh tones appear natural during the good scenes. HDR contrast is generally good. Blacks are deep. Shadows are delineated. White levels are at times brilliant. Resolution is a bit soft except for closeup which reveal detail in facia features, such as skin pores, lines, and hair. and objects and settiings. This is a generally mediocre 4K Ultra HD presentation. (Gary Reber)

The Japanese Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack also is generally mediocre. The synthesizer score is the best element with a wide and deep soundstage and aggressive extension to the surrounds. Sound effects do deliver impact and at times are supported with bass energy such as during intense gunfire. Dialogue is often ADR produced and wanting in spacial integration. There is a lot of raised voices and screaming.

The Immersive Sound element is predominately an extension of the score to the height layer with subtle din atmospherics and occasional sound effects, such as stylized gunfire. Overall, the score provides support for enhanced dimension.

This is a mediocre holosonic® soundtrack due to the poor dialogue presentation. English subtitles are provided.
