With stunning watercolor backgrounds setting the tropical tone "Lilo & Stitch" is a heartwsrming and humor-filled adventure. The story follows a lovable –– but mischievous –– out-of-this-world creature and his adoptive Hawaiian family. Originally released in 2002, theis 'cute and fluffy' classic has won more devoted fans than Lilo has delivered peanut butter sandwiches to Pudge! (Gary Reber)

The 1.85:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 Ultra HD Dolby Vision/HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was animated in digital and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate format. Picture quality is superb. The imagery features a extremely well saturated bright and bold color palette with strong primaries that pop. Backgrounds display wonderful pastel colors, which enhance the filmic appearance.. The wide color gamut exhibits nuanced hues. But the real visual excitement is the wide color gamut that pops off the screen. Animated flesh tones are consistent throughout with a brownish tan look. HDR contrast is excellent with inky blacks, revealing shadow shadings, and brilliant white level, Resolution is excellent with sharp line art drawings, textured objects and wonderfully resolved painted backgrounds. This is a wonderfully colorful animated movie that is a classic from Disney. (Gary Reber)
The repurposed Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack sounds dynamic with strong sound effects throughout; Foley sound effects are precisely applied and realistic. Sound effects, such as energy beams, spaceship rocket engines, and other effects, are supported with the LFE channel with deep, hearty booms and weighty thuds. Bass extension provides powerful support for such sound effects. Surround extension is excellent with effective directionalization. Alan Silvestri's orchestral score is beautiful, especially during the quieter segments, and the selection of Elvis hits sound terrific, The ADR voicing is perfectly clear with generally good spatial integration..
The Immersive Sound element is quite active and is comprised of an aggressive extension of the music, numerous sound effects, atmospherics, and nuanced dialogue. This is a wonderful height layer that effectively enhances spherical dimensionality. Filmmakers should take note.
This holosonic® spherical surround soundtrack is a fun experience that is compelling with exciting sound effects and an aggressive surround and height layer. (Gary Reber)
