    "Loki" Season Two picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season one finale when Loki (Tom Hiddleston) finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Moblus (Owen Wilson), Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), Judge Renstayer (Matthew J. Gannon), Miss Minutes (Tara Strong) and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include the featurettes "Loke Through Time" and "Assembled: The Making Of Loki Season 2", gag reel and three deleted scenes.

    The 2.20:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 Ultra HD Dolby Vision/HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was animated digitally in anamorphic Pznavision® using the Arri Alexa Mini LF and Sony CineAlta Venice camera systems and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate. Picture quality is excellent. The color palette is rich in warm saturated hues. Eye-grabbers are the burnished yellow-golden scenes within the Time Variance Authority and other segments composed of pastels, teals and purples. Flesh tones retain naturalness. HDR contrast is excellent with solid black levels and shadows, and effectively illuminated white levels. Resolution exhibits fine detail levels throughout, whether within the production design overall, sets, costumes and facial features. This is an outstanding looking picture. (Gary Reber)

    The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is dynamic sounding with aggressive soundfield envelopment provided by the surrounds. The surrounds are often comprised of ambient environmental atmospherics and engrossing sound effects. Bass support is effective throughout with deep extension, and support from the .1 LFE channel. The score occupies a wide and deep soundstage that extends to the surrounds. Dialogue is intelligible throughout.

    The Immersive Sound element is comprised of subtle moments like the hatch closing over Loki’s head during his processing at the Time Variance Authority, the destruction raining from the sky on Lamentis-1 and other sound effects and atmospherics that enhance soundfield dimensionality.

    This is a great sounding holosonic® spherical surround soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
