The 2.39:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 Ultra HD Dolby Vision/HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was digitally captured in anamorphic Caldwell Scope using the Alexa Mini LF camera system and sourced from a 4K master Digital Intermediate. This is a superb visual presentation that successfully integrates CGI and natural picture elements. The color palette offers a wide range of hues and bright levels as in the picture's transition from darkness to light. Colors can be nicely saturated with hues that pop, HDR contrast is excellent with solid black levels and revealing shadows as well as realistic white levels. Picture element resolution is superb throughout. This is a great visual experience and is sure o excite fans. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is impressively dynamic sounding, especially in the thrilling spacecraft flying sequences or the giant sea beast segment early in this season's opening episode. Bass extension is deep with active .1 LFE energy to sub-25 Hz frequencies. Both sound effects and atmospherics benefit from a solid low-frequency foundation and transient enhancement. The orchestral score is dynamic sounding with nuances that enhance the listening experience. Dialogue is intelligible throughout,

The Immersive Sound element is comprised of an extension of the score and numerous atmospherics and sound effects, such as virtually all of the aerial space battle sequences and flying sequences, that enhance soundfield dimensionality.

This is an outstanding holosonic® spherical surround soundtrack that will enthrall fans. (Gary Reber
