    In "Harold And The Purple Crayon," inside of his book, adventurous Harold (Zachary Levi) can make anything come to life simply by drawing it. After he grows up and draws himself into the physical world, Harold finds he has a lot to learn about the real world. When the power of unlimited imagination falls into the wrong hands, it will take all of Harold and his friends’ creativity to save both the real world and his own. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include the featurettes "How To Draw Harold, Porcupine & Moose" (HD 05:43) and "How Do You Spell Imagination?" (HD 01:54), “Colors” Sing Along (HD 01:33), seven deleted and extended scenes (HD 06:47) and upfront previews.

    The1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally using the Sony Venice camera system and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture develops from strictly simple animation to a combination of animation and real world imagery. The real world imagery appears natural with a nicely saturated color palette. Flesh tones appear natural. Contrast reveals natural black levels, revealing shadows and realistic whites. The picture and clear and sharp with excellent detail exhibite throughout in facial features, clothing and object textures. This is a nicely imaginative and colorful picture that the family will appreciate. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused but the sound is"produced" with a forward presence. Still, dialogue is intelligible. The orchestral score is a bit cartoonish in composition character. The music, which at times shouts into rock n' roll mode, spans a wide soundstage and provides the main surround envelopment. Sound effects, such as a segment with a motorcycle and truck or the more exciting purple crayon duel, sound realistic. Overall, this is a satisfying holosonic® soundtrack that will please the entire family. (Gary Reber)
