"Babes" is a heartfelt comedy about the bonds of friendship and the unpredictable challenges of adulthood and becoming a parent. (Gary Reber)

Special features include the featurette "Hana & Michelle Taste Baby Food And Talk Babes" (HD 17:54) and "The Moms Behind 'Babes': Ilana, Michelle And Pamela In Conversion" (HD 08:12) and four deleted scenes.

The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits naturalness with a decently natural color palette. Colors though appear a bit desaturated and lack saturated vividness. Pastels are prominent in numerous scenes. Flesh tones are naturally hued. Contrast is balanced with decent black levels, generally revealing shadows, and a bit subdued whites. The imagery is softly focused but closeups resolve details far detail. Still, facial features appear realistic. Overall, this is a satisfying picture. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack sounds "produced" with dialogue that sounds quite forward and wanting in spatial integration. The dialogue is at times difficult to understand due to the over "produced" aspect. Atmospherics sound realistic Sound effects are minimum but well integrated. Foley sound effects are well sync'd with picture. The music is diverse and forward sounding at times but occupies a wide, enveloping soundfield coverage. Bass extension is never exaggerated and sounds natural. Overall, this is an entertaining holosonic® soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
