"Knight And Day" chronicles the adventures of a small-town girl named June (Diaz), who meets a mysterious stranger and thinks she's found the man of her dreams. But she soon discovers he's a fugitive super-spy, who thrusts her into a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase that spans the globe. As the bullets and sparks fly, June must decide if her "Knight" (Cruise) in shining armor is a dangerous traitor or the love of her life. (Gary Reber)

The 1080p AVC picture is terrific, with a perfectly balanced color palette, without exaggeration. Contrast is excellent, with deep, solid blacks and revealing shadow delineation. Hues are rich and warm, with accurate fleshtones. At times colors pop, yet retain naturalness. Resolution is nicely revealing of facial features, clothing, and object textures. The imagery is sharp and clear throughout. Dimensionality is nicely rendered as well. This is a visually exciting experience that is quite varied in location settings. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack is quite dynamic and exciting, with plenty of action scenes punctuated with gunfire and explosions. Foley effects are actively engaged, as well as atmospheric sound effects, which enhance the sense of holosonic® envelopment. The .1 LFE channel, at times, extends to sub-20 Hz, for dynamic impact. Panning of sound effects often immerses the soundfield with aggressive directionalized surround. The music score is nicely recorded, with a wide and deep soundstage that effectively energizes in the surrounds. Dialogue is generally integrated spatially, but at times is forward sounding. This is a diverse soundtrack that delivers a lot of engaging excitement. (Gary Reber)
