The 1.85:1 1080p picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, was photographed digitally using the Arri Alexa Mini camera system and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. The picture's color palette and production design are natural throughout. Hues are generally natural though saturation is not always constant, with some scenes more pronounced than others. Contrast is generally good, especially during closeups. Blacks are deep, shadow are revealing and white levels are natural. Resolution is excellent with fine detail exhibited in facial features, clothing fabrics and object texture. This is a satisfying picture that exhibits generally natural color. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is very frontal focused with the exception of the orchestral score, which is aggressively enveloping throughout the soundfield. As a dialogue focused soundtrack the dialogue is intelligible but very forward sounding and wanting in spatial integration. As for atmospherics, the sounds are frontal as well. Overall, this is compelling dialogue storytelling. (Gary Reber)
