"Vivo" is an animated musical adventure . Vivo, a one-of-a-kind kinkajou spends his days playing music with his beloved owner Andréa. But when tragedy strikes, it's up to Vivo (Lin Manuel Miranda) to deliver a message that Andréa (Zoe Saldana) never could. A love letter to his old partner, the famous Marta Sandoval (Gloria Estefan), in the form of a song. Yet in order to get to Marta, who live a world apart, Vivo will need the help of Gabi (Ynairaly Simo) –– an energetic tween who bounces to the beat of her own offbeat drum –– to fulfill his owner's wishes. (Gary Reber)

Special features include the featurettes "My Own Drum (Remix) Lyric Video" (HD 02:59) and "Behind The Animation" (HD 03:57), a Play Sing Along Edition upfront previews and a digital copy.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. The animation is absolutely beautiful. The color palette is wonderfully saturated with vivid hues that pop. The variety of colors are fantastic. The greens of the everglades are incredible vibrant. Vivo's golden body delivers a vivid contrast. The richness and warmth of the people characters are striking. Contrast is amazing with a wide dynamic range. Black levels appear solid. Shadows are perfectly delineated. Illumination is brightly rendered. Resolution is incredible and exhibits fine textures throughout. Vivo's fur and that of every animal and the characters is finely detailed. This is an amazing animated feature that is wonderfully compelling with fun characters and animals. Reference quality throughout. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is energized and dynamic sounding. The music is rhythmic and the songs are creative. Foley sound effects are in perfect sync. The voice dialogue and singing is wonderful with good spatial integration. The orchestral arrangements are dynamic and exciting, especially the Cuban-fused music, with an aggressive surround presence. The farewell concert by Martha is emotional and wonderfully performed by Gloria Estefan. Fidelity throughout is exceptional, as exemplified by the Cuban music over the end credits. Deep bass is solid and natural sounding. Holosonic® surround envelopment is aggressive, This is a very creative musical adventure that will bring smiles and joy. (Gary Reber)
