"Dog" is a buddy comedy tthat follows the misadventures of two former Army Rangers paired against their will on the road trip of a lifetime. Army Ranger Briggs (Channing Tatum) and Lulu (a Belgian Malinois dog) buckle int a 1984 Ford Bronco and race down the Pacific Coast in hopes of making it to a fellow older's funeral on time. Along the way, they'll drive each other completely crazy, break a small handful of laws, narrowly evade death, and learn to let down their guards in order to have a fighting chance of finding happiness. (Gary Reber)

Special features include only include a Dog trailer and a Movies Anywhere digital code.

The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was photographed digitally using the Arri Alexa camera system and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. The picture exhibits a generally natural presence with at times strong saturation. Colors are rich and warm. Flesh tones are natural throughout, Contrast is well balanced with natural black levels and good shadow delineation. White levels appear generally natural. Resolution is revealing of good detail exhibited in facial features, dog features, clothing and objects. Overall, this is a satisfying picture with a natural look. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused with a engaging music accompaniment. The music envelops the entire soundfield with aggressive surround energy and excellent channel separation. Atmospherics are realistic sounding and enhance the realism of the varied environments. Sound effects are generally subdued, Foley sound effects are perfectly synced. Bass extension is generally intertwined in the music, but otherwise more nuanced. Dialogue is intelligible throughout with generally good ADR integration. This is a satisfying soundtrack that nicely complements the adventure. (Gary Reber
