The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a Sony Bravia Z9D 4K Ultra HD HDR display, upconverted to 2160p with greater resolution and luminance, was photographed digitally using the Arri Alexa Mini camera system and sourced from a 2K master Digital Intermediate format. Very natural appearance with well-balanced color saturation. Hues are warm and rich. Fleshtones are perfectly natural. Contrast is well balanced with natural black levels, revealing shadow delineation, and natural white levels. Resolution is excellent with fine detail exhibited in closeups of facial features such as skin pores, lines, complexions and makeup, hair and beards. Clothes and object textures are revealing. Clarity overall is excellent. This is a very fine presentation with natural and realistic imagery. (Gary Reber)
The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 7.1-channel soundtrack benefits the orchestral score, which completely envelops the soundfield. The music is an effective dimensional element. Otherwise the sound is dialogue focused with good spatial integration. Atmospherics also extend to the four-channel surround field. The frontal soundstage generally lacks dimension with the exception of the music and the occasional panned effect. There's occasional deep bass for effect. This is a pleasing soundtrack experience.
