A hardened detective will stop at nothing in his quest for vengeance in Vendetta. When his wife is killed by a criminal that he put away, Mason (Cain), a hard-nosed detective, deliberately gets arrested for murder in order to get revenge. While inside, Mason discovers a new criminal enterprise that those behind it would kill to protect. (Gary Reber)

Special features include a making-of featurette (HD 06:37) and the featurettes A Haunted Location (HD 06:13) and A Big Transformation (HD 06:20), trailers, upfront previews, and an UltraViolet digital copy.

The 1.78:1 1080p AVC picture is digitally photographed. The imagery exhibits excellent clarity and pristine qualities. The color palette is naturally hued with well-balanced saturation. The orange dress of the inmates of Stonewall Prison appear vibrant. Fleshtones are rendered naturally. Blacks are deep and provide excellent contrast . Shadow delineation is decent. Resolution is quite good, with fine detail exhibited throughout. While a direct-to-video project, the image quality is nicely rendered. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel soundtrack delivers an aggressive music score that is well recorded with a wide and deep soundstage that extends to the surrounds. Atmospherics and sound effects are effective in creating the realism of the prison and the intense infighting among the inmates. At times, sound effects are directionalized in the surrounds. Deep bass energy in the .1 LFE sounds natural. Dialogue is intelligible and decently integrated. It is the music score that really carries the intensity of the prison chaos. (Gary Reber)
