    First seen in Kevin Smith's breakthrough film "Clerks," Jay (Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith) continue their adventures in both live-action movies and animated television shows. In "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back," when they learn that there's a film being made in Hollywood based on themselves, Jay and Silent Bob set off to sabotage the production. Their adventure attracts a crazy cast of characters—including many from the four previous View Askew movies—that create laughs from New Jersey all the way across the U.S. to Southern California.

    After the up-front ads, the movie starts playing and prompts you to use the pop-up menu at any time to get to the main menu. Features include audio commentary and a movie showcase.

    The MPEG-2-encoded 2.35:1 Blu-ray Disc picture features well-rendered flesh tones, deep blacks, and good contrast. Hues are vibrant, but the level of detail in the image is not overly impressive and shadow delineation is slightly lacking. (Danny Richelieu)

    The linear PCM 5.1-channel encoding's fidelity and dynamic range is the standout of this release. The noise floor is relatively low, although the surround channels are not utilized as often as they should be. (Danny Richelieu)
