Includes two audio commentaries (one with filmmakers, and the other with more than 25 animators), text commentary (get out your dictionaries for this one, folks), a four-minute featurette, a fascinating 20-minute animation tutorial, an animated short, an animation test, deleted and alternate scenes, live action scenes from the movie, and biographies.
DVD Picture:
If you can avoid becoming seasick by watching this movie, the anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits superb imagery. The undulating animated images exhibit completely solid and smooth colors. The bizarre images are sharp, and accurately convey the actors who portray the characters. In a word, the animation is unusual. In another: fascinating. There are just a few signs of pixelization and shimmering, but the transfer seems true to the intended look of the movie. (Suzanne Hodges)
