DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits smooth, pleasing images. Colors are rich and well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed, with good contrast and shadow delineation. Some scenes are soft for effect. Overall, the picture is smooth and solid, with few artifacts. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
The multichannel sound mix has been quite well recorded, yet is also predictable in terms of dimensionality. The music originates from the front left and right channels. The surrounds are mostly silent except for poignant instances, such as the opening car crash. Deep bass can be downright powerful and poignant at times, though, with a few instances of .1 LFE.
