    Story Synopsis:
    Based upon the novel

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD has pleasing image quality, with sharp and nicely detailed images. Colors are warm and well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered throughout. Edge enhancement can be bothersome, and pixelization is also noticed. The source element is revealing of occasional artifacts. (Suzanne Hodges) The DVD also includes a modified 1.33:1 version (not reviewed).
