Story Synopsis:
The lives of Eliot Ness (Bob Kaliebe), Melvin Purvis (D. Douglas Weidner), and Thomas E. Dewey (Todd Milliner) are dramatized in The Learning Channel

DVD Picture:
The 1.78:1 DVD is not anamorphically enhanced and the three movies exhibit problematic image quality. Colors are weak and undefined, with poor delineation. Contrast is low and visual information is limited in the darker scenes. Other than the interview segments, the picture is soft with little detail, and often appears smeared. Shimmering details and aliasing problems are noticed, as well as pixelization. The source element is revealing of artifacts and film grain. Overall there is nothing impressive about image quality on the DVD. (Suzanne Hodges)
