Story Synopsis:
Inspired by Victor Hugo

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits animated images that are nicely detailed and well defined. Colors are rich and well balanced, with bold hues and deep blacks. Edge enhancement is unfortunately noticed, but its distraction is not always present. Some fine film grain is noticed, as well as occasional flecks of dirt, but nothing too serious to be distracting. Soundtrack:
The 5.1-channel soundtracks are wonderful with excellent dimensional presence and fidelity, albeit with the latter being just slightly dated-sounding in comparison with the most current, cutting-edge productions. The DTS
