DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD exhibits a dated picture, with images that are slightly soft and wanting in finer detail and definition. Colors are rich, and exhibit generally good balance, with deep, undefined blacks. Contrast seems a bit low at times, but shadow delineation is satisfying. There is some minor pixelization noticed, but edge enhancement is not a problem. Minor dirt, artifacts, and film grain are noticed in the source element, but are not terribly distracting.
