Story Synopsis:
No thoughtful romantic should miss Stealing Beauty. Liv Tyler stars as Lucy, a young woman who travels to Tuscany to spend the summer with family friends. She is driven by two motives: to renew her acquaintance with a young man from a neighboring family with whom she shared her first kiss and to search the Italian olive groves to solve the mystery left behind in her mother
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD is a lovely picture with warm, well-balanced hues, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. Images are slightly soft, but detail can be satisfying. Contrast seems a bit low at times, but shadow delineation is nicely rendered. There is some edge enhancement apparent, but no distracting pixelization. (Suzanne Hodges)
