DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits image quality that can be quite pleasing, with colors that are nicely balanced and rich, at times bordering oversaturation. Blacks are deep and solid, and fleshtones appear accurate, if at times a bit orange. While images are generally sharp, there is apparent loss of fine detail that could be related to noise reduction. There is a preponderance of edge enhancement that can be quite bothersome, and pixelization adds a digital quality to the picture. (Suzanne Hodges)
