Story Synopsis:
Winning a 1963 Academy Award

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture is a fine restoration effort, with the black-and-white images rendered in a well-balanced gray scale. Images are sharp, and detail is nicely rendered. There are very few artifacts, though some of the larger, more noticeable ones are still apparent from the source element. Edgge enhancement can be a problem at times, but otherwise this is a very satisfying transfer. (Suzanne Hodges)
