DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD has a dated quality, with images that are soft and slightly smeared. Contrast seems a bit low at times, with hazy whites, and little visual information in the darker scenes. Colors are somewhat subdued, with lots of brown hues, and blacks are slightly weak. The source element is revealing of plenty of grain and a few artifacts. There is some pixelization, but no distracting edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
