Based on the novel by Meg Cabot, The Princess Diaries tells the story of Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway), whose goal in life is to be invisible and make it through a school day without being sat upon, laughed at, or addressed in class. But now she is confronted by her estranged grandmother with the fact that she is heir to the throne of Genovia. So it's off to Princess lessons to prep her for the biggest decision she will ever make. (Suzanne Hodges)
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits images that are sharp and nicely detailed. Colors are rich, with nicely balanced fleshtones and deep blacks. The picture is quite clean, with edge enhancement distracting at times. (Suzanne Hodges)
Reason #42 Why Readers Love Widescreen Review:
I like the reviews and the number rating system you use. Usually your reviews are right on key with how I see the disc also. The magazine also caries useful information about Digital Video Essentials, which I also own, and use often.
