Story Synopsis:
Michael Flatley sure can cut a fancy rug (and he can play a mean flute, too). Clad in black with Gold accents, he dances around the stage in excerpts from Riverdance, Lord Of The Dance, and Feet Of Flames. Yet this DVD takes you a bit closer to the man with flaming feet, as he trains his dancers, recollects his childhood, and celebrates the career that created a new interest in Irish dance worldwide. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits images of varying qualities, appropriately, for the documentary. The interviews appear somewhat hazy or soft, but are otherwise nicely detailed. Colors are well balanced, with bold hues, rich blacks, and natural fleshtones, The stage performances range from downright impressive to almost unbearable, depending on the source elements. Sometimes aliasing problems are noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
